Electric Motor Driven Pump
Our HP-40 Transfill System is supplied with an electric motor driven pump that is whisper quite. It can pump 1650 SCFH or up to 66 ‘E’ cylinders per hour. A vertical piston is used with trouble free room temperature seals. Slow speeds, 60 cycles / min insure long life.
Simple Installation
All components of the system, except the analyzer, are mounted on a stainless steel skid. Simply pipe the system vents outdoors and connect the input electric power.
Safe
Five independent safety devices assure safe reliable operation. They include, automatic shutoff timer, 3 pressure relief valves, 3 pressure switches, rupture discs and 3 speed controls.
Power Requirements
For lower operating costs, 3 phase motors are recommended. 2 HP, 230 V, 3 phase, 60 Hz can be used for pressures up to 3,000 PSI required to fill fiber wrap cylinders. 2 HP 220 V, 1 phase, 60 Hz can be used for pressures up to 2,500 PSI required to fill aluminum and steel cylinders.
Cost Savings
If you use 100 or more ‘E’ cylinders per week, filling your cylinders using the HP-40 Transfill system can make a significant cut in operational costs.
Utilize Existing Equipment
Existing components of a gas-to-gas transfill system including manifolds, regulators and vacuum pump, can in most cases be integrated into our HP-40.
Efficient – Use Less Oxygen
Our patented (#5,819,544) system uses a pump immersed in 140 liters of liquid Oxygen in a vacuum insulated container. The pump would only require cool down for the first batch of cylinders filled and does not require additional cool downs. The cool down is accomplished during the first initial fill of the container. Competitive systems require cool down every time before filling and continual cool down during operation. Typical liquid Oxygen losses for competitive systems are 100 to 200 liters for 8 hours of operation.
Convenient – Time Saving
Automatic operation, simply load the cylinders, vent, evacuate and start the pump. The included alarm will sound when the cylinders reach 1,600 PSI. allowing the operator to do a mid fill leak check and check the cylinder temperature. Two separate fill manifolds allow the operator to fill one manifold while evacuating the other. The HP-40 can fill cylinders with two different operating pressures up to 3,000 PSI at the same time. The HP-40 can gas-to-gas transfill 3 ‘E’ cylinders at a safe controlled speed without using the pump.
Other Gases
The HP-40 can be used to transfill Nitrogen or Argon as well as Oxygen.
Ideal for providing high pressure gas for pressure testing, Lasers, Autoclaves, Injection Molding, ect.
Emergency Situations
The HP-40 transfill system has a built in feature that no other system has. In the event of an emergency where electric power is not available and will be out for days, weeks or more and there is no generator available, cylinders can still be filled. There is a built in gas-to-gas transfill feature that can be utilized.

Equipment Rental
If you have an existing gas-to-gas transfill system, the base HP-40 transfill system can be supplied on a rental basis.
